MCC Cricket Photo of the Year

We are incredibly fortunate to have so many volunteers that give their time to this cricket League.  Many of them have talents beyond the traditional ones associated with the game and a fabulous example of this is Barry Gill.  Barry is a life member of the League, long time member of the Management Committee, player and now groundsman at Dacre Banks Cricket Club.  Throughout the summer, Barry can be seen roaming our many grounds taking amazing quality photographs.

Barry has been shortlisted in the very prodigious MCC Cricket Photo of the Year competition.  The full story can be found here and Barry’s picture is number 5.  Its a picture of Colin Chadwick of Pateley Bridge Cricket Club receiving a nasty blow.

Well done to Barry who along wth the other eight shortlisted entries will each receive £250. All prizes are courtesy of competition partners J.P. Morgan with all the images on display in the MCC Museum at Lords.
