As we have reached the halfway point of the season it might be a good idea to show you the overall, complete League, statistics. Note, this view shows all League AND Cup performances so is NOT the same as the Divisional performances. It does show how all of you guys are performing in relation to one another no matter which Division you are in.

Lee Davison from Spennithorne and Harmby has taken a staggering 41 wickets in all competitions so far with best figures of 7/4. Lee is closely followed by Nicky Smith of Burton Leonard who has taken 38 wickets already in Division One.

Goldsborough’s Jarrod McPhee is well on course to top 1000 runs for the season with a current tally of 818 in all competitions with a best of 155 not out. Bobby Hilton’s Division Three dominance continues with a total of 760 runs already and a highest of 193.

The stumper at Bishop Monkton, Dave Haley is running away with the fielding award. Dave has taken 21 catches so far this season with 1 stumping. Chris Eckford at Dacre Banks is the closest to Dave with 14 catches but 8 stumpings.

We are very fortunate to have three new trophies to be awarded this season. The most runs scored (The Erik Thompson Trophy), the most wickets taken (The Wilf Wigglesworth Trophy) and the most catches, (THe Houseman Trophy) by a homegrown player. The very fine Theakston prize will of course go to the best player of the seaosn which is the player at the top of the MVP table after the completion of the season.
