ECB Small Grant Scheme for 2017 is now open!!!

· Opening date is Monday 14th November 2016
· Closing date for applications to be made to the CCB is Friday 20th January 2017

After this the Yorkshire Cricket Board will undertake a decision making process and then submit your applications to ECB for processing, no later than Friday 3rd March 2017.

Please read thoroughly the attached guidance notes which contain all of the key information about the scheme – please review it carefully and contact me if you have any questions. If you then decide to submit an application, please ensure that your club meets all of the required eligibility criteria and your application is admissible with regards to the ‘eligible projects’ guidance.

Please note that the YCB cannot guarantee any application at this stage due to the anticipated large number of applications against the amount of funding available for the whole of Yorkshire.

All successful applicants from 2016 are not eligible for 2017!

What would add more weight to an application is where clubs can provide above the minimum of 10% partnership funding, and also if the demand is huge then priority may be offered to clubs who have been pro-active in the past regarding support of ECB/YCB initiatives such as NWCF/GET THE GAME ON/ Club mark/school links/CDGs etc.…

All online applications should be e mailed direct to along with the two quotes. (Please check guidance on quotes 8.2) Scanned copies are acceptable.

Applications should include a statement as to why the investment is needed and the impact this will have for the club in the forthcoming season. Specifically, if clubs are applying for covers then we require information of your current status regards this equipment – i.e. you currently have no covers/your covers are damaged, no longer fit for purpose etc., and if you are simply replacing existing covers then what do you plan to do with your existing ones? Could these be of benefit to another club etc.…..?

Successful applicants will be required to provide feedback on the outcomes of their project (i.e. how it has helped get more games on/increased revenue/club membership etc.) – this is a key element and requirement of any successful application as it helps provide evidence of success and supports future funding opportunities and ensures ongoing grant aid. Last year a number of clubs who were successful failed to provide feedback which was very disappointing given the level of financial support.

All paper applications are required to go to our head office at Headingley for the attention of Richard Wilkinson, Yorkshire Cricket Board, Headingley Leeds LS6 3BU

Please contact Richard first you have any questions/queries!!! Richard 07850-928190 0113 203 3668
