Cricket for girls (and mums!)

Galtres and Hambleton Cricket Development Group is supporting Sessay and Alne Cricket Clubs in organising cricket for girls on Sunday mornings in Easingwold. The sessions will be run from 9.30 to 11.30am at the Galtres centre starting on Sunday 5 February.

The first 40 minutes of each week’s session will offer technical guidance to those who wish to develop their cricket skills, the rest of the time from 10.15 will be spent on having fun playing the game. Participants will not require any cricket kit, all will be provided and all activities will be soft-ball.
There will be a charge of £3 per person for each session towards the subsidised cost.

These girls-only sessions are for those who want to join the increasing numbers of girls playing and enjoying cricket. They are open to girls from any or no cricket club so please ensure that girls in your area whether or not currently associated with your club are aware of this programme. Participants should be sports competent but no particular experience is necessary and there is no age limit so mums are welcome!

Anyone interested in attending should let Peter Drummond know by email.

This is a part of the Development Group’s commitment to promoting girls cricket locally.  Further details will be circulated about sessions in the north of our area shortly.
