Loan Players in the Last 4 Matches of the Season

Goldsborough Cricket Club have raised a query as to whether the prohibition against Loan Players playing in the last four games of the season applies to both Adult and Junior Players who have gone out on Loan. By way of clarification the prohibition applies only to Adult not Junior Players.

Rule 15 d) STILL applies to junior loan players, in the last 4 matches of the season;
d) A player may play in any division.  However, there is an exception to this in last 4 games of the season if they have:
• Scored 250 runs or more for higher teams (in the Nidderdale or other leagues) in matches up to and including week 18, or
• Taken 20 wickets or more for higher teams (in the Nidderdale or other leagues) in matches up to and including week 18, or
• Selected for 75% or more of completed matches for higher teams (in the Nidderdale or other leagues) in matches up to and including week 18.

In response to a query raised by Birstwith Cricket Club there is no prohibition against Junior players on Loan playing in the normal Division in which they play or in a higher Division. It is only Adult players who when on Loan may only play in a higher Division to that which they normally play in save if they normally play in the lowest Division in which case they may go out on Loan to a club in that Division.
