Crime Prevention for Cricket Clubs

Comments Off on Crime Prevention for Cricket Clubs

A message from North Yorkshire Police:  We have had an attempted theft at one of the local cricket clubs. There was a spate last year and I hope that this isn’t the start of the same kind of thing. We are offering to go to clubs again and mark up any equipment so please could you circulate the following to your members.

In 2016 the area suffered with a number of thefts of equipment from cricket clubs, North Yorkshire Police are keen to prevent any recurrence and will work with clubs to safeguard their valuable tools by marking them to make them less attractive the potential thieves. This is a free service provided by NYP at a time to suit the clubs. Any club wishing to have equipment marked or crime prevention advice is asked to contact PCSO Matthew Cockerill on Matthew.Cockerill@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
