Further Information
Rather boring start to the season as Goldsborough crashed to 45 for 9 off 10 overs chasing 83 including surviving a hatrick delivery from Newby's Man of the match Forbes, taking 5 wickets for just 7 runs. GCC then staged the come back of all comebacks with the last pair at the crease in the recalled opener George Davies (52*) and Henry Saul (6*) batting out the last 9 overs putting a parnership of 39 on to win in the penultimate over. Newby had three chances to snatch the game and then two clear run out oppurtunities off the same delivery, which unfortunately went down as 7 wides. Well done both teams.
