Further Information
A rather chilly evening at Huby/Weeton saw a visiting Birstwith team wanting to get back to winning ways after the heavy defeat against Harrogate in the Coad Cup. Pannal Batted first and found it difficult to get runs mainly due to the fielding including a direct hit run out by Callum McLachlan from quite a way out and frankly some pretty poor bowling by the Birstwith boys, not easy to hit when its coming through at worm head height. Stand out batting for Pannal was Fraser Pitt who managed to grab a few singles. The best bowling by far was Oliver Fryer who just bowled nice and straight and was rewarded for his efforts. Birstwith then went to bat and Will Hubbert showed the intent by losing 2 balls into the field, 1st time for the season that Will has got into double figures. Another blast by Oliver Fryer including 1 big six followed by a somewhat subdued Callum McLachlan saw the Birstwith team home. Nice bowling by Luke Haidar who again was rewarded for his efforts. Good luck to Pannal in the final run home at the end of the season as the League splits into two
