Further Information
Beckwithshaw welcomed the visitors Bilton on what started out as a hot, sunny evening but gradually developed into a cold and grim night. It was refreshing to see 4 girls playing and all giving a very good account of themselves. Beckwithshaw won the toss and decide to field. Accurate bowling throughout restricted the Bilton batters. Grace bowled 2 excellent overs without conceeding a run and Joe Ramsay was particularly impressive with 3 wickets for 9 runs including a spectacular juggling caught and bowled. However, bowling perfomance of the day went to Tom Stark who bowled 2 overs of immaculate off-spin to record figures of 4 wickets for 0 runs with impressive turn and accuracy. In reply Bilton stuck to their task admirably despite double figure scores for William, Morgan and Joe. Molly and Sam both picked up a wicket each but star performer was Sophie Morley who showed her umpiring father how it should be done by taking 3 wickets for only 2 runs. Well done to all involved and best wishes to Chris and Bilton for the rest of the season.
