Further Information
Knaresborough batted first starting well, with opener Cutts retiring in quick time. However Beckwithshaw bowled well, Mcgregor was the pick of the bowlers, Stokes with 3 wickets, Stalk with 2. This left Knaresborough in a poor position of 66-9 with only 3 overs remaining, however Cutts returned to the crease and dominated the bowlers by smashing an extra 20 runs in just 8 balls. This helped boost Knaresborough's total to 89 and Cutts ended up on 40. Beckwithshaw started their innings positively with the top 3 batsmen scoring at a good rate. Spin kings Witham and Webster turned the game, between them bowling 8 overs for 11 runs and 3 wickets. Runs were drying up for Shaw, and due to Knaresborough's dynamic fielding, Shaw also lost wickets. Cutts bowled the last 3 overs at one end under pressure and overcame this by producing economical figures. Overall a fantastic victory in which was a very good game to watch, full credit to Beckwithshaw,
