SHAUN SOWRAY did not attend through no fault of his own - due to the Secretary omitting to advise him of the meeting.

The minutes of the meetings held on October 24th and Nov 21st 2005 were signed as being a true record of that meeting.

No matters arising.

ERIC HOUSEMAN reported on discussions with Mr Najmir of Lords International Ltd re balls to be used throughout the league 2007 onwards. DINNER After long discussion it was decided that we will have one speaker this year – Roni Irani and one entertainer.

BURTON LEONARD will field a 3rd X1 and play their home fixtures at St Aidans School.
HARROGATE have reported that their new ground not yet handed over from Harrogate Council – Expected to be a formality. Pitch and Changing Rooms in order. New local rule granted – due to proximity of local housing any shot going over the boundary either in the air or along the ground will only earn four(4) runs. ( this information to be passed to all clubs and umpires before the start of the season).
HARROGATE GAS SPORTS may be late in sending their dues owing to a stroke suffered by their treasurer – cheques to be signed by 2. – one of them is the treasurer.
There will be no result sheets issued to clubs from this season on. The majority of Clubs sent result on line and it is hoped that we can get all clubs to do so. If result sheets are required the clubs can download them from the website.

Bank Balance of £15,203

The on going matter of Swiers and Swiers. Re hear it – on going – before the start of the season.

We will be struggling this season for umpires. Only 28 and we have lost 4 for various reason. There are 3 Saturdays when 2nd Division only 1 umpire per match. In the cup competitions there will 1 only for Wath Cup and Peter Bentley Cup 1st round. An advert to go in the Ackrill newpaper on 2 consecutive Fridays asking for anyone prepared to umpire maybe 2 or 3 matches during the season. The same to go on to the website.
John Barrett reported that Harrogate and District Umpires Association no disbanded – should we as a league do something about resurrecting it. ( there is £700 funds dormant in a bank account).

The new Peter Bentley Cup needs a winners and Runners up Cup. Agreed that £200 available to cover the cost of both cups.

No report Ben Drummond not at meeting.
Bens suggestion - The issues with fines - wondered whether listing all pending and outstanding fines with the issue date and due date on the website might help those clubs pay fines on time and negate any problems of clubs not realising they have unpaid fines and hopefully avoid points deductions. Any fine that is overdue can be highlighted in red or something and it would also mean clubs pay the fines quicker if they are named and shamed.
It all depends whether Neil has the time to liase with me wo we can keep the information up to date and accurate. If it works hopefully it would mean less work for him.
Committee agreed - GO AHEAD.
