4.Correspondence and Secretary’s business (Tricia Heard (TH)
• TH received a card from Heavy Woollen Junior cricket in sympathy of John Barrett
• Bilton in Ainsty have asked if they can come into the League in 2012. They currently play within the Wetherby League and do fall in the boundary of the Nidderdale League. It is unclear if it will be one or two teams joining. It was felt that the League should recognise that as more clubs enter the League the administration of the League may become unwieldy. Deadline for teams to join the League is 31st August and we do currently have capacity in 2012 however existing Nidderdale clubs may want additional teams in the League. TH will write to tell them our answer at the beginning of September.
• TH received a correspondence from Brian Wheeler at YCB asking about the numbers of girls playing in our League. TH will query KC how many are playing in the junior league
• TH had email from John Whitehead at Goldsborough asking about the pertinence of a Reserve KO cup. Possible renaming to the Barrett Cup. The family will be asked first but it was agreed in principal by the Committee.
• A new League cup is required for Division 9. A name may be required and the Birtwhistle Cup was suggested. The family will be contacted.
• BD suggests that the latest version of Office installed on TH computer.
• Cost of MCC game was queried by PC. 1st September.

11. Junior League Representative (Ken Coad (KC)
• It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of John Barrett. I wish to record my personal thanks for all the help and guidance which John has given to me, especially over the last two years as I have taken on the duties of Junior League Chairman and Secretary. He will be sadly missed.
• The first trophy of the season was won on 13th June when eight Under 9 teams, who had won through to the Quarter Finals, contested for The Under 9 Coad Cup at Studley Royal. The eventual winners were Birstwith, in a Final against Cundall Manor which went to the very last ball of an exciting day.
• The next two trophies to be contested are on Thursday 15th July at Follifoot when Knaresborough play Follifoot for The Arthur Barrett Cup at Under 17 level. On the following evening The Bob Mellor Cup for Under 15’s will be contested at Knaresborough Forest between Pannal and Harrogate. The two Age Group Secretaries (David Nudds and Rod Macauley) are arranging Umpires and I have asked them to contact Graham if they have any problems arranging umpires while I am away on holiday.
• I have contacted the Joe Lumb and Lords Taverners committee, and they have agreed that all correspondence which was previously sent to John Barrett, will be forwarded to our Vice Chairman Paul Ellis.
12. Six Aside Junior Indoors (Bill Kitson BK)
• Every year the invitations and entry form for the next season are sent to 60 clubs as some may now have juniors and wish to enter the competition. They were sent a little earlier than normal due to the anticipated extra workload from the expansion. A condition on the use of Boroughbridge leisure Centre is that the invitation be extended to all clubs in the York Senior League, although we do have some playing already, this was dealt with separately.
• Having sent everything via e-mail on 13th June, and had the fact published on the web-site, to-date only 18 clubs have acknowledged receipt, despite have been clearly asked to do so. Currently, there have been four entries — the deadline is 16th July. This will necessitate a reminder to be sent adding to the already busy schedule.

• Some new shirts will be produced for the League side
