Minutes of the Management Meeting held at Ripley Castle - Monday, February 17, 2003

MEMBERS PRESENT Sir Thomas. Tricia Heard. Erik Thompson. Peter Crack. John Barrett. Ben Drummond Jeff Watkins Eric Houseman and Bill Kitson.
APOLOGIES were received from Peter Bentley. Steven Coombs. Steve Whiteley. Chris Newton. Neil Burtwistle. Alex Houseman. Bruce Jackson and Tony Whittaker.
MINUTES of the meeting held on December 9th 2002 were signed as being a true record.
MATTERS ARISING There were no matters that would not be dealt with later in the meeting.
CORRESPENDENCE AND SECRETARY
The Ingilby Shield to be played for on Sunday July 27th at Ripley.
League Representative side v Nidderdale Overseas Players.
L.A.C.C. representative. At the moment we cannot find anyone to attend the meetings. Will advise L.A.C.C. that we will send a Representative as soon as we can.
Pannal C.C. wish to enter a 4th X1 just as soon as there is a vacancy.
CAPSIt as was agreed that we order caps for the players in the Representative Side to Earn. Bottle Green. Jonny Lions will order these with his order for Birstwith C.C.
TREASURERS REPORT. No treasurer but Bank Balance of £7.453
UMPIRES SECRETARY. We will have at least 27 umpires for the coming season and may be more. 4 new umpires – Chris Stansfield and Brian Shaw will umpire all season. Barry Canham is now Fully Qualified. Jeff Watkins done extremely well to have produced such a good number for 2003.
Bill Kitson only able to umpire one match per week-end.
GROUND COMMITTEE. Nothing to report. Next meeting in March and pre season inspections to be undertaken.
DISCIPLINARY PANEL. There is nothing outstanding from 2002. Erik Thompson is retiring as Chairman and hopefully David Burton will take his place. Erik will remain on the panel. Panel will be David Burton. Erik Thompson. Goff Wetherall. Jonny Lyons. Roger Deakin. Brian Vast. Dave Owram. Steven Coombs. Peter Crack and Bruce Jackson.
SELECTION OF SUB COMMITTEE – for selecting representative side.
Alex Houseman. Derek Chapman. Tony Whittaker plus League Captain and possibly Bill Davis and/or Miles Rawlings.
UNDER 15 AND 13 INDOOR 6 A’SIDE – SATURDAY AFTERNOONS.
We are in need of an umpire or two. Jeff Watkins will try and get umpires for these junior fixtures.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Dinner Cairn Hotel. November 14th 2003. Same money available for speakers as last year. Possible speaker Keith Moss and Entertainer David Kendall
