The minutes of the meeting held on November 22nd 2004 signed as being a true record of that meeting.
MATTERS ARISING
There were no matters arising.
CORRESPONDENCE AND SECRETARY’S BUSINESS
Tricia Heard - Newby Hall asked for decision as to whether Iain Campbell should be registered by them as overseas or Non-0verseas. This was passed to Eric Houseman for decision. - He is their Overseas.
YCB Groundsmen Association are compiling a database of grounds currently active within Yorkshire leagues. 2005 Handbook to be sent when available.- Now gives Club Groundsmen.
Sicklinghall and Kirk Deighton
Since our last meeting both clubs have decided not to transfer to Nidderdale League and letters have been received from both.
Ripon Grammar School.
Letter from the Headmaster of Ripon Grammar School advising us that their Sports Hall will soon be available to hire.
Dacre Banks C.C.
Letter re a person currently working at Mewith Hill who doesn’t hold a British Passport. Is there any way he can play for Dacre Banks other than as Overseas. Long discussion – Don’t know sufficient about him – understand that he is from Grenada- the answer is NO. (We must look into a New Rule on residency - people in this country who are not “cricketers” but would like to play in our league)
TREASURERS REPORT
Neil Burtwistle - Bank Balance £11.835-44. Ball Sponsorship is essential = Cash survival.
UMPIRES SECRETARY REPORT
Jeff Watkins - There will be 32 umpires available for the 2005 season. Some will umpire in Division 3. The Umpires course finishes next month with examinations at the end of April. We have lost two umpires from last season. Bob Head has finished umpiring – he disagrees with having to complete a CRB form. James Critchley is going to Airedale and Wharfedale League.
GROUND COMMITTEE REPORT
Bill Kitson - Nothing to report except that the Ground Committee will meet within the next two weeks.
JUNIOR LEAGUE
John Barrett - New Sponsors for Junior League are Arrow Readydrive. They will sponsor for 3 years - £1000 p.a.There are more teams entered this season 23 clubs with 72 teams. Under 11 increased by 20 and Under 9 by 15. There is no coaching at Harrogate and Pateley Bridge – coaches won’t do it. Andy North is now at Harrogate C.C. = Team Manager and Coach of Joe Lumb Under 17 representative side. Sir Thomas was thanked for his sponsorship over the last few years – he will be there if needed at any future date.
SIX ASIDE INDOOR JUNIOR LEAGUES
Bill Kitson - The finals day for the 6 aside is Saturday April 16th. Look North Junior Sport are interested in reporting on all Junior Cricket. Committee agreed that Bill Kitson should go ahead with this.
CHILD WELFARE
Bradley Atkinson - 2 clubs have not appointed a Child Welfare Officer Harrogate and Wath. Eric Houseman to contact Andrew Campbell and Erik Thompson Peter Warters. 3 clubs not sent a child welfare officer on the first training course. The 2 above Harrogate and Wath plus Killinghall (Andy Dobby)
DAVE PARKIN Birstwith have advised the league that Dave Parkin has shown interest in playing for them. Has he written his letter of apology to Ouseburn C.C?. Check with Jeff Gill. He still has not paid his dues to Bishop Thornton.
Agreed. The above must have been done and a transfer form must be completed by Bishop Thornton before he can play for Birstwith.
RULE CHANGE (Goldsborough) Erik Thompson. Guidance from the Management committee following Rule Change at 2005 AGM. This has been formulated and will be given to all clubs at the pre-season meeting at Bilton C.C.
I.T. HARDWARE
Ben Drummond/Barry Gill - The Management committee agreed that the Computer Printer etc. should be upgraded and that Ben Drummond should order what is required – install it at the home of the league Secretary and send the accounts to the League Treasurer – approx £700. New sending of results following matches – Ben Drummond explained the new system. He will also speak to the members at the Pre season meeting.
QUESTIONNAIRE We will close the book on this – 44 clubs have responded. Steven Potter will produce charts from the results sent in.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Chairmans undertaking to be amended to state that air fares are payment in kind.
The date of the pre season meeting will be changed from April 8th to April 15th. Reason We will not have had delivery of the Balls from Lords International.
