MATTERS ARISING

New League Caps have been ordered from Dragon Embroidery on Cold Bath Road.
Selection Committee for the league representative side to be Alex Houseman. Derek Chapman. Miles Rawlings. Steve Whiteley and Paul Pattison.

CORRESPONDENCE AND SECRETARY’S BUSINESS

Harrogate Strays v Blubberhouses – have asked for Management Committee decision on points gained at this fixture. David Burton. Jeff Watkins and Peter Crack will discuss this matter following this meeting.
Clubs not fielding 11 players in their 1st X1. Some clubs have not followed league rules by not advising with their match result sheet why they did not have a full side.
Notice to go on to the Web Site as a reminder and letter to go to each club concerned for their comments – response in 7 days pending disciplinary action.
The committee must “ look to the future “ re lack of players and 2nd X1 teams playing with 8 and/or 9 players
Pannal 4th? and Glasshouses 2nd Check insurance for both sets of players playing for Glasshouses. The new system put in place for this season only was ratified by the Management Committee.

TREASURERS REPORT

No report - Bank Balance £5,420-63

UMPIRES SECRETARY

We have a full compliment of umpires – at present.
Captains reports – only a few in- they are official documents and must be sent to Jeff Watkins signed by both Captains after each match ( 1st and 2nd Divisions )
It has been reported by ?????? that our standard of Umpiring is higher than in many other leagues.
Umpires course to start on Thursday September 25th 2003. Sir Thomas has kindly agreed that it should again be at The Castle.

GROUNG COMMITTEE

Pre Season Ground Inspections have taken place with 3 unsatisfactory reports received – Ripon City School. Marton-cum-Grafton and Harrogate Strays/Bilton at Almsford Oval.
The Ground Marks are available on the web site this season.

Sir Thomas expressed thanks to Bill Kitson for staging this event for the 2nd year. It was very good and a credit to the League. There were more junior teams than last winter season.
