CORRESPONDENCE AND SECRETARIES BUSINESS
Reply has been sent to Thornton Watlass ( Simon Jones ) re the problems caused through Foot and Mouth.

Helperby will play their home fixtures at Cundall Manor School
Darley - letter of apology for not raising a side to play South Kilvington - unable to contact anyone from South Kilvington. ( perhaps we should ask all clubs for at least 2 contact tel. numbers.)
Blubberhouses v Galphay & Winksley - No official complaint from Blubbershouses but letter to be kept on file.
Harrogate Strays - no toilet facilites for scorer ( Lady Scorer from West Tanfield ) - there was no key available - Harrogate have been made aware of this situation.
Slow Over Rate Terry Hood reported very slow over rate StudleyRoyal v Lofthouse & Middlesmoor. Letter to go to Studley Royal asking them to 'up' the bowling rate ( 2nd Division ) Suggestion made that a fine should imposed for slow over rate.
Burnt Yates 1ST v Alne 2nd discrepency in the Score Book at the end of the match. Showing Alne had won. No Change in the Result can be made after the match is ended. Points to Alne. Letter to go to both clubs.
A.C.U.& S. New poster to go to all clubs include Scorers on the poster - to attend the course to start in September. Clubs will be asked to acknowledge the receipt of the poster and that it has been displayed on the club notice board or changing rooms. A.C.U. & S. are now being sponsored by THE POST OFFICE. This to but added to the poster.

( Secretary proposed that registration sheet and transfer forms must be in BEFORE the start of the season from 2002)
Middleham - Birstwith v Middleham Middleham unhappy that Birstwith would not travel due to FMD. Letter received from Birstwith Explaining the situation
Middleham Ladies to the League Dinner ? Not this year - perhaps put it to vote at A.G..M

Committee agreed to £16 per match being paid to Ivor Scourfield when working on his Assessors duties at Saturday matches
Thircon - Thircon v Raskelf Thircon played a person who it would appear was not the person they said he was ( playing an ineligible player ) - Referred to the Disciplinary Panel
Phone Line 2nd phone line agreed for the League Secretary
Discussion on 6 a-side indoor league for Juniors. A letter to go to all Clubs to find out if there is any interest in this suggestion. This could start in October or leave until the new year

TREASURERS REPORT No Bills outstanding
UMPIRES TRAINING OFFICER L. B.W. law evening which was held at Thornton Watlass was attended by only 6 Umpires which was very disappointing.
UMPIRES ROTAS OFFICER All matches covered for June and into the middle of July. 2 per 1st division matches and some 2nd division matches will only have 1 neutral umpire. Middle July and August will be thin on the ground - possibly only 16-18 umpires available for 2 or 3 weeks.
GROUND COMMITTEE REPORT The next Ground Committee Meeting is scheduled for the middle of July.
SEASON 2001 Some grounds will not be used at all this season. Some grounds which were quarantined are now being used and others on the quarantined list as soon as outbreaks of foot and mouth occur. There is a new restriction on YorkshireWater - Blubberhouses could be affected again.

Balls Have any balls been given to clubs to try - in place of Shooting Star ? Refer to Eric Houseman.
Cup Finals for Committee Members to attend. Reserve Knock Out Final July 10th at Pateley Bridge - Harrogate Strays v Helperby.
Atkinson Swires Cup Final August 19th at Burton Leonard Hampsthwaite v Killinghall.
