JUNIOR INDOOR SIX ASIDE

Bill Kitson. Season 2006/2007
The current season is now well under way and the initial entry was 37 teams in the five age groups. However, the under eleven fixtures have been rescheduled due to the loss of two teams, namely North Stainley and Glasshouses. As this depleted the playing hours substantially for this group it was agreed with the remaining coaches that the league fixtures would be played and in addition each team would play another round of friendly games to compensate and maintain the competitive spirit. Glasshouses also withdrew from the under nine age group and this has shortened those fixtures.
The League results are now available on a weekly basis on the Web-site, the initial delay due to our holiday. As yet not all of the teams have played and there appears to be strong competition with some excellent cricket having been played; to the last ball on several occasions.
I would like to express my thanks to all the Coaches who are assisting with the running of the sessions, both in umpiring and assisting Val with the scoring.
