The minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 31st March October 2005 were signed as being a true record of that meeting.MATTERS ARISING
Knaresborough Forest v Burnt Yates (Saturday 23rd April) – Bob Skaithe had informed the secretary that the markings by Burnt Yates captain were not inline with the league’s guidelines. A phone call was made to the captain of Burnt Yates, and the marks were adjusted.John Barrett had observed that the ground marks for Division’s One and Two in the handbook were the opposition marks and not the umpires marks.
Boundary Markings in the top two divisions were discussed at the last Management Meeting. After some discussion regarding two clubs in the top division, and the merits of enforcing these clubs to have a boundary line within the fence, the committee felt that it was best to preserve the status quo.
GROUND VISITS 2005
All grounds apart from the ones visited by Pete Armitage were reviewed by the committee and found to be satisfactory although a couple would need to be closely monitored over the coming twelve months.Pete Armitage had been called in to work late at the last minute, and would post his findings to the secretary later on in the week.
NEW GROUNDS
A discussion then followed regarding the ground committee visiting new grounds/facilities prior to them being allowed into the league. The discussion arose because some new teams had entered division 8 with no apparent changing room and tea room facilities. It was decided in future that a member of the Ground Committee should visit any new grounds prior to them being accepted into the league at the AGM.
