Tuesday 29 October 2002 - Annual Cricket League Dinner
The Annual Cricket League Dinner takes place on Friday 15th November at The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate. Speakers this year include Mike Watkinson (England & Lancashire), Geoff Cope (England & Yorkshire) and Dusty Young (Comedian).

Monday 16 September 2002 - Final Cricket League Results and Tables
The final league results and league tables have been published today. Congratulations to all those teams that have won promotion and commiserations to those who were relegated.
Tuesday 20 August 2002 - Yorkshire Inter-league Semi-Final
The Nidderdale League are drawn at home in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Inter-league Cup against the York Senior League. The match is due to take place on the1st September (venue to be decided).
Monday 19 August 2002 - Atkinson Swires Cup
The Atkinson Swires Cup will be replayed on Sunday 1st September at Masham between Pannal and Bishop Thornton after a heavy thunderstorm curtailed proceedings yesterday.

At this very early stage of the new season, it has become clear from a number of different sources that, whilst some clubs struggle to find enough players to field one team, let alone two, other clubs do have a pool of players some of whom do not get into the teams regularly.
These players are generally among the leagues younger players and the Management Committee is in the course of discussions exploring the possibility of a '' LOAN'' system.
At present this would cover only players Under 17 on 1st September in the year prior to the start of the season, who according to League Rules and Constitution do not need to be registered with a club. Any new system would require a change in the rules to be put to a vote at the next Annual General Meeting. It is felt that pilot loan scheme should be tried informally during the current season.
Accordingly it has been decided that players under 17 should be allowed to play for any club in the league on a temporary basis, provided that the Club with which they would have been registered if over 17 on 1st September 2001 gives its WRITTEN CONSENT.
Such written consent should be must on a ''LOAN'' FORM in respect of each game played. A copy of the form must be sent to the League Secretary in each case.
It should be understood that this is a temporary measure which will apply until further notice and is introduced to try to resolve a current problem and to try to give as many young players as possible a regular game of cricket.

Friday 5 April 2002 - Ground Inspections
A notice to all clubs that the Ground Committee expects to visit all grounds between now and the start of the season. If clubs wish to meet with their appointed inspector(s) they should contact Bill Kitson to find out who is due to visit their ground.
Thursday 4 April 2002 - Club Secretary Details
These have now been updated to reflect the changes made to the League Handbook. We would urge all clubs to check the details to make sure they are correct. If there is something that is incorrect or requires adding such as an e-mail address, please contact webmaster@nidderdaleleague.co.uk and the changes will be made. Tuesday 26 March 2002 - Party in the Park - Ripley Castle
This is an advance warning for any clubs travelling on Saturday 27th July to avoid the A61 near Ripley as a pop concert featuring Blue, members of Steps and Atomic Kitten is being staged at the castle. Heavy congestion is expected throughout the day from 10.30 pm onwards, so stay well clear. If you are travelling, please plan an alternate route.
Tuesday 26 March 2002 - Pre Season Captains Meeting
The Pre-Season Captain's Meeting takes place at Ripon CC on Friday April 5th. The meeting starts at 7.30 pm. As in previous years each club will receive their allocation of cricket balls and league handbooks at this meeting. There are also a few new regulations coming into effect this season so it is vital that every club makes the effort to attend.

Bagby & Balk are currently looking for players. They struggled last season due to Foot & Mouth and are now having problems recruiting new members as some people have moved away.
