Monday July 2011 - ECB ACO North Yorkshire Branch to hold their A.G.M. and present an evening with Adrian Grayson
Yorkshire Cricket Board Association of Cricket Officials (YCB ACO) North Yorkshire branch are delighted to present an evening with Adrian Grayson on Friday 7th October from 7.30pm in the Tea Rooms at Ripley Castle.
For those of you involved in local sport, the name and face of Adrian Grayson will be very familiar to you. Adrian has kindly accepted the invitation to come and speak at our forthcoming AGM about his experiences in football and cricket but also teaching and coaching. He also has had a hand in producing two sporting legends himself - Paul (Director of Cricket at Essex CCC and Simon (Leeds United Manager).
Adrian has been inorgurated into the York Senior Cricket League Hall of fame and merits it in a number of ways, including talented player, club and league representative captain, top quality coach, organiser of youth cricket and the driving force behind Bedale Cricket Club during their second spell as members of the York Senior League. Adrian has been heavily involved in all these activities for 30 plus years and is still heavily committed to his coaching and youth promotion work, as well as being chairman of his club. Adrian was the recipient of the Yorkshire Cricket Board award for Services to Youth Representative Cricket in 2007.
This is intended to be a relaxed social evening and will also include a question and answer session with Adrian.
There will be tea and coffee upon arrival and an informal buffet. There will be a raffle and the opportunity to learn more about becoming involved with the ECB ACO as a cricket umpire or scorer.
Come along and listen to Adrian but also to meet up with other local cricket umpires and scorers in a social setting at the historic Ripley Castle.
This event is open to everyone with the event free to members of the ECB ACO and a nominal charge of £7.00 for non members (payable on the night).
